Angry Zidane hits out at Real Madrid and Ronaldo criticism

Season 2017-2018 is half over and Real Madrid are struggling to find their form. The Spanish Champions have slipped to number 4 in La Liga standings while they face a tough competitor in PSG for the Champions League Round of 16 fixture. Madrid have also struggled to find their feet in Copa Del Rey as they have drawn games to minnows like Fuenlabrad and Numancia.

With Cristiano Ronaldo also misfiring this season, much of the blame of Real Madrid’s bad run has been put on the Portuguese’s bad form this season.

However, Real Madrid Manager Zidane has had enough of the criticism and he has lashed out at the critics blaming Real Madrid and Ronaldo.

“I am tired of hearing all this. It is easy to say that everything is bad; you [media] know very well it is not all negative here. But it is very nice to say bad things about Real Madrid because it sells more.”

There has been a lot of talk about Real Madrid’s inactivity in the transfer window but Zidane believes that his squad is complete and he does not want any further additions.

“I know people are surprised that our rival (Barca) are signing players but not us. I have the best team & I don’t see it’s important to add anyone. We may see this in June but not now.”

Zidane also emphasized the importance of Cristiano Ronaldo who has been under a lot of criticism following his poor run of form in the league.

“Cristiano Ronaldo looks totally fine to me, which is the most important thing.”

“The goal streak I think is always the same thing. The same thing was being said about his goal scoring a month ago. I think the same thing will happen here, he will get back to scoring again and your questions will be gone.”
