Bayern face another injury concern after Vidal and Neuer ruled out

Bayern Munich host Real Madrid at the Allianz Arena tomorrow and the German Club is not lacking headaches. The Bundesliga Champions are already without their star midfielder Arturo Vidal who has been ruled out of both legs after undergoing a knee surgery while Captain Neuer is not match fit to be ready for the first leg.

However, Neuer remains optimistic to play in the return leg at the Bernabeu. Kingsley Coman is also a noticeable absentee in the Bayern Squad.

Along with these names, the most recent addition to the injury list is Bayern Munich’s left back David Alaba. The Austrian has been vital in Bayern’s road to the Semis thus far and his absence would mean a huge blow to the German club.

Alaba is suffering from a quadriceps injury and although his participation is not ruled out, it seems highly unlikely that the Austrian would recover in time for the heavyweight clash against Real Madrid. Rafinha would be called up as the first choice replacement for Alaba.

Last Year, Real Madrid knocked Bayern out in the Quarter Finals of the Champions League so Bayern would be seeking revenge on Madrid. However, they won’t be taking their opponents for granted as Real Madrid is on the verge of becoming the first club ever to win the Uefa Champions League three times in a row.

Real Madrid have struggled in the domestic season this term but the Los Blancos form in the Champions League has been impressive with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring in each and every game he has played this season.
