Cristiano’s media day interview shows he prefers team wins more than his goals

Real Madrid players talked to the media before the big Champions League Final. Cristiano Ronaldo has been in stunning form in the Champions League as the Portuguese has scored in 10 consecutive games this season only missing out against Bayern Munich in the Semi Finals. Ronaldo would be looking to become the first player to score in 4 Champions League Finals.

The Portuguese also gave an interview during the media day ahead of the Champions League Final.

“Liverpool remind me of Real Madrid team of few years back, with three speedy forwards up front.”

“It doesn’t matter which team you face, the Finals are always special. Liverpool have deserved to qualify, and I don’t think they will be easy.”

“I think Real Madrid is better team but we have to show this in the game,” Cristiano was quoted as saying by Spanish Website MARCA.

Cristiano also expressed his desire to score in the Final but insisted that Real Madrid winning the Champions League remains a priority to him.

“I wish to feel perfect on Saturday, I hope to play well and score goals. But the most important thing is that Real Madrid should win, it doesn’t matter who scores. We want to make history.”

“I love playing in the Champions League. These matches are always of the highest quality. To win this trophy, you have to beat the best in the World, anything can happen in the Champions League.”

“You always have to be motivated and alert, you can’t relax and this club has a unique relationship with it, from Gento and Di Stefano, that’s special motivation for me,” concluded Cristiano. (via Spanish Website MARCA)
