Champions League

Dani Carvajal names the hardest players to stop in Bayern Munich

Real Madrid vs Bayern Munich promises to be a heavyweight clash between the European Giants. This European tie has never seen a goalless draw and with the quality of players available on both sides, we expect goals this Wednesday at the Allianz Arena. The first leg advantage would be considered vital going into the second leg.

Last year, Bayern were on the receiving end as they were knocked out by Real Madrid in the Quarter Finals of the Champions League. However, the German side would be looking to do better this time around.

Dani Carvajal spoke to the media ahead of Real Madrid’s blockbuster clash against Bayern and the Spaniard admitted that they can achieve a third Champions League in a row.

“Nothing is impossible, we are going to fight for it.”

“We are working and if we have achieved two then why will we not go for the third consecutive one?”

“I hope we achieve the Champions League, we must keep ourselves grounded and face the semi-finals with great enthusiasm.”

Carvajal was asked to name the hardest players to face in the Bayern Munich squad and the right back answered:

“[Arjen] Robben, Lewandowski and [Frank] Ribery are the most difficult to stop.”

“They are three very difficult players to mark and with any room they can score.”

Real Madrid travel away to Germany for the first leg of the Semi Finals this Wednesday and then they host Bayern in Madrid on Tuesday next week at the Santiago Bernabeu.
