Neymar talks about facing Real Madrid in the Champions League

Neymar helped his team to a convincing 4-0 win against Montpellier with 2 goals to his name. The Brazilian has been in fine form since his summer move from Barcelona to Paris and has scored 26 goals for the Paris based club. Neymar talked to the press after the game and spoke about facing Real Madrid and Cristiano Ronaldo in the round of 16 clash.

Neymar has been rumored to be unhappy with life at Paris. However, the Brazilian brushed aside those rumors saying:

“I am calm and happy here with my friends and teammates. I came here to make history, give my best and score a lot of goals.”

Neymar was booed when he took the spot kick in Dijon last week as Cavani was on the brink of becoming PSG’s all-time top scorer. Neymar was booed by the fans but he insists he is okay with it.

“Of course it bothered me, but we are here to be whistled and applauded. I am happy, especially for the victory. I think we played well.”

On being asked about facing Cristiano and Real Madrid in the Champions League, Neymar said:

“I respect Cristiano greatly because he has made football history. He has been at the top of the game for ten years. I am trying to get close to those players.”

“But Madrid will not only be about Ronaldo; he and many other good players create danger. I wish this game was the UCL final, but this one will be upon us very quickly.”
