Real Madrid prepare to play the Club World Cup Final against Al Ain tomorrow as they hope to become the first side ever to win 3 Club World Cup trophies in a row. Real Madrid brushed aside the challenge from Japanese side Kashima Antlers thanks to a Gareth Bale hatrick which saw the defending champions win 1-3.
Ahead of the Club World Cup Final, Sergio Ramos talked to the media and discussed his side’s chances at the Final.
“We have a new opportunity to announce ourselves as the World Champions for the third consecutive year that no one has done before. This title would be a good one for all the Madridistas.”
When questioned about Isco’s lessened role at Real Madrid, Ramos said:
“Isco is another important player for us. The good thing about Real Madrid is competition. There are players like Ceballos who did not get a lot of minutes last season but this season they are playing. The level of demand is very high at Real Madrid and in the end its the coach’s decision.”
Real Madrid Captain was also asked if he would like to see Mourinho again at the Spanish Capital and he answered:
“I’m nobody to say whom I want to train under, we Captains don’t have this level of decision. We’ve been without Mourinho for 5 years but he’s a character who sells a lot.”
Ramos was also asked about Cristiano’s comments about Juventus being more of a family as compared to Madrid. However, Ramos replied with class:
“We have not heard Cristiano talk about Real Madrid. The talks are from the press. We are happy that Cristiano is doing well. We always wish the best for those who did so well for us.”
Ramos now prepares to lead his side in the Club World Cup Final against Al Ain which takes place tomorrow and the Madrid Captain will be looking to add one more trophy in his already decorated career.
