Real Madrid Manager Santiago Solari has responded to Cristiano Ronaldo’s comments that Juventus are more of a family as compared to Real Madrid. Ronaldo who left Real Madrid this July has played 5 months at the Italian clubs and in a recent interview to Italian newspapers, he stated that Juventus is more like a family as compared to Real Madrid.
However, Madrid Manager Solari has responded to Ronaldo’s comments. In the pre match press conference before the game against CSKA, Solari also discussed his side’s chances for the league and Champions League this season.
When asked which one does he prefer, La Liga or UCL, Solari answered:
“Both …. and the Club World Cup and Copa Del Rey too. We have to be alive in all competitions. I like them all and that’s what we should apprise too.”
Solari also praised Marco Llorente who has been performing amazing in the absence of Casemiro.
“I’m very happy with him for what he does in the training session and in the games.”
Solari was also asked about Ronaldo’s comments about Real Madrid not being much like a family as Ronaldo said: “I can say that this (Juventus) is the best group I’ve ever played. Here we are a team, else where someone feels bigger than others but here they are all on the same line, they are humble and want to win.”
In response to these comments by Ronaldo, Solari replied:
“Humility is a great virtue that top players need and this Real Madrid squad is great and very humble. When it comes to every one of the values, this is a top group of players.”
“Cristiano Ronaldo is living history of Real Madrid and his feelings are his own.”
Real Madrid play their last Champions League group game against CSKA Moscow tomorrow who surprisingly ran out 1-0 winners in the previous meeting between the two sides in Moscow.
