La Liga

What have our loanees been up to?

This season Real Madrid has loaned 11 players for growth and experience, but not everyone is having the best of times. Andrii Lunin who was supposedly the back up for when Kiko Casilla leaves has just played 5 games for his new team. Luca Zidane on the other hand has had a promising start at Real Racing starting 25 games in a row.

Javi Sanchez and Alvaro Odriozola are the only two full backs who haven’t represented their squad fully but has been in the squad. On the other hand Sergio Reguilon and Achraf Hakimi has been prolific with Sevilla and Borussia Dortmund respectively with Hakimi scoring 5 goals in the Champions League.

Martin Odegaard has been wonderful with Real Sociedad with talks of him returning to the Santiago Bernabeu but the midfielder says he wants to stay with La Real one more season, after scoring against his parent club and knocking them out of the Copa Del Rey, Real Sociedad are clear favourites to win the competition.

Dani Ceballos has been electric when he started, instantly winning over the fans with his different playstyle from Ozil and Xhaka, but since he’s been injured he’s yet to start a game under new coach Mikel Arteta. Ceballos asked to leave and join Valencia on loan but Madrid did not allow his request.

Oscar Rodriguez has been lighting up La liga starting 22 games and netting 5 times, although he’s not at the top of the priority list for Zidane, it looks like he’d be playing for los blancos next season.

Takefusa Kubo and Borja Mayoral has played most of the games this season but not scoring enough. Kubo with just one and Mayoral with 4 are likely to spend another season on loan.

With Zidane looking for players to fill in for players such as Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, Karim Benzema and Sergio Ramos, Who do you think he should call back or buy to keep Madrid at its best?
