Zidane aims a funny dig at Cristiano for his amazing overhead goal

Zidane’s Real Madrid put on one of their best shows of the season as they brushed aside a spirited Juventus side at Turin by scoring three goals with no reply from the home side. The game started brightly for the visitors as Cristiano Ronaldo scored with just 3 minutes on the clock to give a 0-1 lead to Zidane and his men.

After the interval, Madrid tightened their grip on the game with Cristiano scoring an acrobatic overhead kick to give a 0-2 lead to Madrid. Despite being on the receiving side, the Juventus fans gave a massive standing ovation to Cristiano.

Later on in the game, Marcelo scored the third goal for Real Madrid to put an icing on the cake and complete a perfect night for the reigning European Champion.

Real Madrid now take home a 3 away goal advantage as they prepare for the return leg. Zidane talked to the media after his side’s victory and praised the character they showed to win at a tough ground.

When asked about his celebration on Ronaldo goal, Zidane said:

“I think I felt the same as what everyone else did. I’m a coach, but also a football fan.”

“You have to tip your hat to a goal of this quality. He does so many things and I’m happy for what he’s achieved.”

However, Zidane ended his comments by taking a sarcastic dig at Cristiano for his wondrous goal.

“Cristiano’s goal is one of the best goals in history, but mine in Glasgow was prettier.” (Laughs)
