Zidane responds to Juanfran’s comments making fun of Real Madrid

Atletico Madrid won the UEFA Europa League beating Marseille 0-3. Antoine Griezmann scored 2 goals for the Spanish Side with Koke scoring a third to make a special 0-3 win for Atletico. In the after match celebrations with the Atletico fans, Juanfran made comments “Let the vikings [Real Madrid fans] know who rules the capital.”

These controversial comments were not welcomed by the Real Madrid fans as they made their anger felt on different social media platforms. Zinedine Zidane also talked Juanfran’s comments about Real Madrid.

Zidane’s Madrid play their last La Liga game against Villarreal away from home and Zidane has the full squad at his disposal. Zidane talked to reporters before his side’s game against Villarreal.

“Game against Villarreal is not a test for the final because they are a different team.”

“They are two totally different sides. Villarreal always comes out with the ball and try to play but that’s not the case with Liverpool.”

“We have a week to prepare for the UCL Final and it’s a huge game, it means a lot to us,” concluded Zidane. (as reported by Spanish website MARCA)

Zidane also commented on Juanfran’s comment about Real Madrid who aimed a dig at the European Champions during the Europa league celebration. Zidane said:

“Firstly, I would like to congratulate Atletico Madrid on their achievement.”

“About Juanfran? I won’t complain. I like Juanfran so I will not say anything about it. He was joking and nothing else. That’s all,” concluded Zidane (as reported by MARCA).
