Jose Mourinho reveals his thoughts on Cristiano Ronaldo back to Manchester United

Cristiano Ronaldo and Manchester United are a match made in heaven. The Portuguese left the English club back in 2009 but the Old Trafford faithful are still heard in full voice chanting his name during the games. Recent rumors have also revealed that Ronaldo might be in for a shock return to Manchester United.

The Portuguese hasn’t enjoyed the best of seasons at Real Madrid as he has struggled to find his feet in La Liga having scored only 6 goals this season so far.

Ronaldo’s struggle for goals has resulted in Real Madrid slipping to number fourth in the League table. Talking in an interview about Real Madrid’s current situation, Jose Mourinho said:

“I think that, given the moment Real Madrid are having now, I think I should be the last one to add some fuel to the fire.”

“Madrid is on fire, the results are not good and it’s a club where I worked three years. I cared about the club; I am the last one to add to the fire.”

The Man United boss was also asked about the rumors suggesting a move back to Old Trafford for Cristiano Ronaldo. Mourinho answered:

“Cristiano is the type of player everyone wants but only one can have. That is Real Madrid, that is my feeling.”

Cristiano’s current contract with Real Madrid runs until 2021 but the Portuguese has now fallen to number 5 in the list of highest paid athletes.
