Mohamed Salah talks about his comparisons with Ronaldo and Messi

Mohamed Salah has had his best football season as a professional player. The Egyptian has notched up an impressive 43 goals in all competitions helping Liverpool to a place in the Champions League Finals where they’ll face Real Madrid. Salah has won the PFA Player of the Year award and the wingers impressive season had linked him with big money moves to top European clubs.

Real Madrid and Barcelona have shown keen interest in the Egyptian with Real Madrid being the ones who want the Egyptian more than their rivals.

However, Salah has put those rumors to bed stating that he wants to stay at Liverpool as their project has just started.

Salah talked to Egyptian TV channel ON E in an interview as reported by UK Website Express, and the Egyptian answered about the best players in history in his opinion.

“The best player in history? I’ll tell you about the ones whom I loved watching play when I was growing up.”

“Ronaldo, Zidane and Totti are the ones I loved to watch play. They are the best in history. I’m lucky to play with Totti at Roma and we are still very good friends. I didn’t see Maradona and Pele play,” concluded Salah (as per UK website Express)

Salah also went on to discuss about his comparisons with Messi and Ronaldo who have dominated the football world for the last 10 years. Salah said:

“I am not happy with those comparisons. Ronaldo and Messi are performing at a top level for 10 or 11 years. Their performance level is very stable.”

“I also need to maintain my performance level high for many seasons. I hope I can stay at this level for many seasons then I will be happy with these comparisons.”
