Brazilian superstar Neymar has been linked with a sensational move to Real Madrid this summer. The Superstar has just recovered from his foot injury and has set his sights on the World Cup in Russia. However, there has been constant news in the media that Neymar is close to a deal with Real Madrid.
It is also reported that Real Madrid representatives have met with Neymar in Brazil when the forward was recovering from his foot injury.
Real Madrid’s players and Manager have been open to the idea of the Brazilian playing for them. There are questions whether he’ll be able to link up with Cristiano Ronaldo or not but Madrid Manager Zidane brushed off those questions by saying “Great players have always good chemistry.”
Real Madrid Captain Sergio Ramos and Vice Captain Marcelo have both welcomed the idea of having Neymar at Real Madrid saying that “Real Madrid always have the best players and Neymar is one of the best in the World.”
With all these statements in the news, Neymar’s teammates have continued to assure that the Brazilian will stay at Paris this season. However, Neymar has now himself responded to the rumors of him joining Real Madrid.
At the Union of Professional Players in France’s awards dinner, Neymar was rewarded as the best player in Ligue 1. On receiving the prestigious award, Neymar said:
“Going to Real Madrid? Everyone knows what I have come to do at PSG and you all know about my objectives but for now my goal is the World Cup. I don’t think it’s the right time to talk about the transfers. I’m a bit bored with it now.”
