Real Madrid Manager Zinedine Zidane makes astonishing remark about Cristiano Ronaldo

Real Madrid ran out winners in a hard fought game against Eibar thanks to a brace from Portuguese winger Cristiano Ronaldo. Eibar gave a tough challenge to Real Madrid and it was the hosts who enjoyed the majority of the possession in the first half but in the end Real Madrid showed why they are the reigning European and Spanish Champions.

Zinedine Zidane talked to the press after his side’s impressive victory against Eibar. Zidane was happy with his team’s efforts as he said:

“This victory leaves me with a very special taste. [Eibar] were better, they had a great game. It’s a tough place to go and they played well. ”

“We knew that we were going to suffer and suffer. We had difficulties with the ball but we fought with character and got the win.”

Zidane also defended Isco and Bale who did not have the best of games after coming back into the starting XI.

“I thought they did well, but like the other players they suffered because we had difficulties and we weren’t good with the ball. But they fought and they ran a lot, they had character like their teammates.”

Zidane was also very happy about Cristiano’s run of goal scoring and he left a special remark about the Portuguese International.

“Ronaldo is from another galaxy. He knows he is going to score, he is unique and special. His stats speak for themselves. He is always very positive and if he gets two, he wants three. He is very good.”

Real Madrid now enjoy a week off and they host Girona on Sunday next week.
